Samnytt has previously reported about a man who was detained on suspicion of the brutal attack on S-campaign worker Theo Horvath in Bromölla in September. Now, the same man has been charged with assault, but he is also charged with attacking a female police officer during the intervention. During interrogation, he also called her a “fucking whore.”

On September 10 this year, S-campaign worker Theo Horvath was out canvassing in Bromölla ahead of the election together with fellow members from the SSU.

The campaigners knocked on the doors of about five houses and were at their sixth when an unpleasant man opened the door — 19-year-old Almin Bouselmi.

– We explained who we were and what we were doing there. He mumbled a bit and she (the other campaign worker, editor’s note) tried to ask questions, but got no answer. He just mumbled that we were stupid in the head and that we were disturbing him, said Horvath (S) during interrogation.

“Stupid in the head”

After Bouselmi closed the door, Horvath’s colleague assessed that he looked high due to his bloodshot eyes. They continued up in the apartment building to knock on more doors.

On their way down, however, they saw Bouselmi standing outside his door, waiting for them. He asked again what they were doing there and said they were a disturbance. They apologized and moved on to the next building.

It was then that he reportedly left his apartment building and approached the campaign workers again.

– Then he says we’re stupid in the head, that we’re crazy, nobody wants us there. Then he pushes me towards the glass door at the entrance (…) So I stumble backwards, and then I barely have time to blink before I get punched in the face with a clenched fist, said Horvath (S) in the interrogation.

“Keeps pounding and pounding”

The glasses fell off, and due to his impaired vision, he couldn’t see anything without them. Still, he managed to push Bouselmi away and asked what he was doing.

– I get hit again and again in the face (…) I manage to get a kick in (…) He keeps pounding and pounding, 4-5 punches, said Horvath (S) and continued.

– I fall down onto the grass for a few seconds, and then both of us fall over. Then he jumps up and sits on me while I’m lying on my back and keeps pounding and pounding.

After a while, he managed to get up and signal to a woman who was passing by in her car; he then got into the car and asked her to drive them a bit away from the scene. Meanwhile, his colleague called 112, and both ambulance and police arrived at the scene.

“Fuck your mother”

When Bouselmi was questioned by police, he gave a completely different story than what the campaigners testified. He claimed that the person who knocked on the door had said “fuck your mother,” and that the same person later accused Bouselmi of “false assault.”

He also questioned the logic of the prosecution, which he consistently described as “bullshit.” When asked what happened before the police came and apprehended him, he replied:

– Eh, eh, fuck their mother. Two, they did me wrong. Come talk to me first. Why do you have to take me? It’s my right. They just came, he grabbed me straight away. Is it mom’s what? I don’t know what.

He also claimed that Horvath had assaulted himself “on purpose.”

– Yeah, he does it on purpose. He can go and hit himself, then say something to me. Yeah. Okay. A big punch. I can also hit myself here and get bruised. I can do that, get bruised, and then go and report it.

Calls female police officer “fucking whore”

Bouselmi is also charged with violence against a public official as he allegedly attacked a police officer with violence while she handled him in the police car during transport to the police station.

He is also said to have resisted arrest by twisting his body, struggling, and kicking at the officers. For this, he is charged with violent resistance.

He is further interrogated about these matters. When the interviewer asks how he responds to the female police officer’s compensation claim of 10,000 kronor, he lashes out verbally.

– She wants 10 grand from me? From me? 10 grand? Fucking whore, I swear on my mother. This is crazy. How the fuck can you do this? (…) I fuck their mother. What? Fuck your mother then, he said in the interrogation.

The 19-year-old was also previously this year charged with keeping a man locked in an apartment and threatening him with a samurai sword. He has also previously been convicted of theft and sentenced to probation and is banned from entering an Ica store for the rest of the year. In the present case, he denies the crime.
