On Sunday morning, Samnytt reported that Social Democrat leader Magdalena Andersson and former party leader and Prime Minister Stefan Löfven were in Barcelona for a :censored:6:cdd6bbaa89: socialist gathering organized by Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who has just opened up for a possible mass amnesty for up to 800,000 illegal migrants. At the meeting, Andersson delivered a speech and behind her the Iranian regime’s flag was visible. Senior Social Democrat Annika Strandhäll has lashed out at the image, calling it “obviously fake” and is urging source criticism from anyone sharing it on social media.

The left-wing conference gathered world leaders, politicians, unions, and activists. Among the participants was also Alex Soros, son of George Soros. Alex Soros heads the controversial organization Open Society Foundations, which has long been criticized by national conservative parties.

Critics argue that the organization pursues an agenda for increased migration in Europe, advocating for more open borders and attempting to influence political processes in various countries via significant funding of civil society organizations and projects.

During the Barcelona meeting, both Andersson and Löfven gave speeches to the participants. Their speeches touched on, among other things, right-wing extremism. In a video, Löfven is also seen applauding the Spanish Prime Minister when he spoke about “right-wing extremism.”

Löfven further expressed his full support for Sánchez, who recently gave the green light to a mass amnesty for illegal migrants.

– You cannot make a deal with racists, Löfven said about national conservative parties, finishing his message with the historic slogan from the Spanish Civil War: “No pasarán!”, which translates to “They shall not pass.”

During Andersson’s speech, both the Iranian regime’s flag and the Palestinian flag were seen being held up behind her.

Strandhäll: “Obviously fake”

When Social Democrat leader and Sweden’s former Minister for Social Security as well as Minister for Climate and the Environment Annika Strandhäll saw the image, which went viral on social media following Samnytt’s article on Sunday, she reacted sharply against those sharing it, reports Riks.

Strandhäll claimed the flag had been “photoshopped in” and said it was “obvious if you look closer.” She then stressed the importance of source criticism and urged the person who had shared the image to delete their post.

Strandhäll deleted this post shortly thereafter, according to Riks, and instead published a somewhat more measured post, where she continued to question the authenticity of the image.

Among other things, the Social Democrat leader wrote that it “might be good to make sure the image isn’t fake,” and that “the image looks extremely strange.”

Sweden’s former minister in the Löfven government is now calling for “source criticism”, but it seems she herself did not even review her party leader’s speech. For those who want to see the video, it can be viewed here:
