In Demoskop’s January poll, the Christian Democrats get a boost while the Centre Party approaches the parliamentary threshold. At the same time, the gap between the political blocs is shrinking.

With 5.4 percent, the Christian Democrats receive their highest support since the election in Demoskop’s surveys, something partly attributed to party leader Ebba Busch’s recent international appearances.

“It’s possible that her international appearances have had some impact. It has previously happened that she has received temporary boosts from these sorts of things,” says Johan Martinsson, head of polling at Demoskop.

At the same time, voters’ confidence in Ebba Busch has increased sharply, from 29 percent in January 2025 to 39 percent today.

Despite a small increase, the situation remains difficult for the Liberals.

In May 2025, the gap between the political blocs was nearly ten percentage points — now it has shrunk to 4.5 percentage points.
