A boy from Malmö who refused to carry out a murder assignment for Afghan Irshad Ahmad was then “fined” 200,000 kronor. When the boy did not pay, the instigator Irshad Ahmad contacted his ex-girlfriend – and raped her with a weapon pointed at her head. This is revealed in an indictment at Malmö District Court.
Irshad Ahmad was born in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He and his parents were granted residence in Sweden in October 2017. Since late summer 2022, he is a Swedish citizen.
The Afghan migrant was convicted two years ago after raping a 13-year-old girl in Malmö – but avoided prison due to his young age. Now he is once again facing justice, this time for raping another girl. But since he is now a Swedish citizen, he cannot be deported.
It was in February 2024 that two young men raped a 13-year-old girl at Nydalatorget in Malmö. The girl had for some time been threatened by the perpetrator who orchestrated the rape – Irshad Ahmad.

The teenage boys wanted the girl to perform oral sex on them; something she at first refused to do. The boys then pulled out knives and threatened her.
– Then he said: “I will stab you and no one can hear you here. I will leave you here to die,” the girl recounted in police interviews.
Irshad Ahmad was convicted in July 2024 of aggravated child rape, offensive photography, child pornography offenses, and witness tampering. However, he avoided prison, as he is officially listed as only 15 years old.
Instead, the sentence was 10 months of juvenile detention. The verdict became legally binding, and he served his sentence at a specialized youth facility from September 2024 to March 2025.

Once Again Charged with Aggravated Child Rape
On April 8 of this year, Irshad Ahmad, who turns 18 this year, was indicted at Malmö District Court on suspicion of aggravated rape of a minor girl. According to the indictment, the assault took place on November 25, 2025.
– Regarding the weapons offense and the child rape, they are connected. The suspicion is that this sexual assault was carried out under some form of threat with a weapon, explained prosecutor Ludvig Olsson to Samnytt earlier this year.

The whole incident came to light a few days after the rape in November last year. This happened after a rumor spread at a school in Staffanstorp that one of its students had been raped. The school’s counselor picked up on this – and brought the girl in for a conversation.

The girl recounted that she had recently received several threatening messages on Snapchat from a person who knew her ex-boyfriend. The perpetrator claimed that her ex-boyfriend had a debt of 200,000 kronor. This was because the ex-boyfriend had previously agreed to carry out a murder assignment, but later backed out.
Since the boy did not pay the “debt,” the instigator now turned to the young ex-girlfriend from Staffanstorp. The perpetrator demanded that she have sex with him. The girl responded by blocking him on Snapchat.
A few days later, the girl accompanied two male friends to Malmö. They took a bus to Nydala – and went down to a basement in an apartment complex.
What the girl did not know was that her friends had actually been pressured into taking her there. The person who gave them the task was the same one demanding 200,000 kronor from her ex-boyfriend.

The girl did not know the perpetrator’s name during the rape. But she had his Snapchat handle from the threats sent via Snapchat.
The police contacted the social media platform Snapchat, which helped authorities identify that the account supposedly belonged to Irshad Ahmad. This was because the account was created at Irshad Ahmad’s registered address.
Furthermore, he is charged with robbing a 13-year-old boy of two jackets and a belt, as well as with witness tampering. According to the indictment, he threatened the boy with death if he reported the crime to the police, a threat he reinforced by showing a video clip in which a person was murdered. He is also alleged to have hit and kicked the 13-year-old while an accomplice filmed the incident.

Irshad Ahmad denies all criminal accusations and has answered “no comments” during interrogations throughout the police investigation.
