38 SL buses have been reported stolen after a company collected the vehicles before a planned sale was completed. It has now emerged that the company also advertised the buses online. One of them was listed for just over 60,000 kronor.
The missing buses had been taken out of service and were to be sold on. But before the deal was finalized, the vehicles were collected by the company that was supposed to purchase them. SL has now reported the incident to the police and is trying to clarify the circumstances surrounding the 38 buses.
At the same time, the company has put buses up for sale online. One of them was advertised for just over 60,000 kronor, and according to the ad, a total of 30 buses were for sale. The advertised bus was also registered as stolen with the Swedish Transport Agency.
On Tuesday, the ad was removed from the sales site with the information that the item had been sold. SL confirms that the company collected the buses before the sale was completed, but stresses that there are still uncertainties regarding the handling of the vehicles.

“In connection with the sales process, the company that was intended to buy the buses collected a number of vehicles before the sale was finalized. This has led to uncertainties regarding the handling of the vehicles and areas of responsibility,” SL writes to Aftonbladet.
SL further states that it has initiated a dialogue with the company to clarify what has happened. The incident has also been reported to the police.
