The coach from Djurgårdens IF Boxing whom Samnytt has reported on in several articles after he threatened to kill AFS leader Gustav Kasselstrand and SD leader Jimmie Åkesson — including saying that “one must do an Olof Palme” — has now broken his silence and spoken out about his threats in a video. He claims it was just a joke and accuses “racist media” like Samnytt of character assassination. He further argues that it is outright racism that he now risks being locked up.

At the end of August, it came to light that former professional boxer and then-DIF coach Aldo Colliander, 48, had made serious death threats against the leaders of Sweden’s conservative parties.

After these statements, Samnytt contacted Djurgårdens IF with questions. In connection with this, the sports club announced that Colliander was being fired with immediate effect.

Since then, the professional boxer has been silent, but he has now broken the silence in a lengthy video on social media. There he states that he has been called to a hearing at the Administrative Court in Stockholm because he is under outpatient psychiatric care and, following the threats which have led to police reports, he now risks being locked up.

– After this thing with Gustav Kasselstrand, Alternativ för Sverige and the Sweden Democrats, there will be a hearing. At the hearing, they have applied to lock me up again. They say I am not in a stable situation, he says, and continues:

– I live in my home, and I’m looking for a job. I lost my job at Djurgården, but I’m looking for work. I have my family, my siblings. I don’t understand what they’re talking about.

The former boxing coach from Djurgården explains his threats by saying he was only “joking” and blames his behavior on hateful comments during live streams, which drove him to issue death threats against party leaders.

In his explanation, he also repeatedly returns to the claim that it is the fault of others that he made the threats, and he even states that the Police Authority doesn’t consider his death threats against the party leaders to be serious.

– I don’t understand what the racists have against me. What you’re doing is character assassination. It’s exactly the same as you did with Jesus, and you say you believe in Jesus, yet you wish harm upon people.

– You can’t treat people like this. All the racist newspapers crucify me before I was even convicted. The police didn’t think it was serious. They didn’t even think I needed a lawyer for illegal threats against Gustav Kasselstrand.

“Pure Racism”

According to Aldo Colliander, the consequences he now faces as a result of his death threats on social media are nothing but racism directed against him.

– This is nothing but pure racism. This is where Sweden is headed. Sweden is not on a good path. When they do things like this, lock people up, force people, and threaten people with being locked up.

The former Djurgården coach singles out Samnytt as “racist media” and accuses the outlet of engaging in character assassination through their news coverage highlighting his serious threats.

– They crucify me beforehand and want to sentence me to be locked up. It’s not fair. I wonder what has happened to Sweden.

“Right-wing Extremists Must Know Their Place”

Furthermore, Colliander, who recently declared that “one must do an Olof Palme” regarding dissenting politicians, has now also said that “all these right-wing extremist people must know their place.”

– They are destroying my life, my daughter’s life, my family’s life, my son’s life. It’s not fair. I don’t deserve this, says the former professional boxer about the “racist media.”

– If I go in for this, Sweden is finished.
